Keys to Hope is here to provide personal, compassionate support for families who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss in Monroe County Florida. When you contact Keys to Hope, you can expect to connect to a live, local, caring team member who has undergone vetting and training to best serve you at this very tender time. Your team member is here to listen to your unique situation and connect you to our many resources that may help guide you through your loss experience. Nothing makes the loss of a child easier or less painful. We offer a community so you do not have to walk this journey alone.
Your Keys to Hope team member can:

Help answer questions and guide you through what to expect before, during and after a loss.

Help connect you with local peers who may have had similar experiences through our Keys to Hope online Facebook community.

Help provide a “Miscarriage Kit”-tangible items, supplies and emotional support if you are actively experiencing a miscarriage and your doctor has instructed you to deliver at home.

Help provide a “Bereavement Box- emotional support, supplies, and tangible items to help you spend more time with your child once they are born as well as to help foster enduring positive memories of your child. We provide items that can capture footprints, hand prints and other keepsakes regardless of whether you deliver at home or in the hospital. Time is of the utmost importance in this situation, so please do not hesitate to call.

Help provide postpartum care items in the event you have delivered at home.

Connect you with a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) who can give information and support whether you decide to donate your milk in honor of your child or cease milk production all together.

Connect you with a certified mental health care provider who may help you process your grief at no cost to you.

Help with no-cost funeral arrangements for your child.

Provide tips and support to spouses/partners of loss as well as the grief adjacent, like grandparents, siblings and friends who desire to walk beside you through this experience.
Our goal is to empower you with knowledge and support so you can advocate for yourself and choose the path to healing that is right for you.

This adorable ladybug is in memory of Abigail Junebug Rose Berlanga. She inspired her mother, Amanda, to become of founding member of the Keys to Hope program (an outreach of the Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition). The ladybug has become a symbol of hope and love for both Abigail's family as well as the Coalition.
