Keys to Growing Kids

The Keys to Growing Kids program facilitates family health and education workshops, developmental playgroups, and parent support groups.

Support groups and playgroups throughout the Keys include Wiggles & Giggles and Tot Time. Both of these playgroups are available to our community at no cost and are geared towards kids ages 0-5.

Wiggles and Giggles

Wiggles & Giggles is a program available in the Upper, Middle and Lower Keys to get the kids moving! This program is geared at children 0-5 & siblings are welcome as well. Come ready to jump, tumble, run, dance, and have FUN! We encourage parents/caregivers to tie up hair and wear attire appropriate for tumbling and yoga (i.e. no dresses/skirts). We look forward to seeing you soon!

Tot Time

Tot Time playgroups are for parents, caregivers, and children in the Upper, Middle, and Lower Keys. Children will enjoy crafts, games, snacks, stories, music, guest speakers, field trips, and more. Activities will be adaptable, so any children ages 0-5 are welcome to attend with their parent/caregiver, and siblings always welcome! Parents and caregivers will have an opportunity to meet new friends with young children, ask questions of other parents and professionals, and spend quality time with their little ones. United Way of the Florida Keys is helping fund these playgroups.

Why Keys to Growing Kids Matters:

These programs help make sure children are ready and thriving by the time they enter Kindergarten. Healthy children create the future of any society. Therefore, there is a need to pay attention to their health development process and mental health. Acquiring social skills is a fundamental part of mental health. Social skills are learned behaviors based on social rules and enable individuals to interact appropriately with others in society. These playgroups are also a great place for parents to meet and find support. These are safe places for parents and caregivers to get more information about our other programs and additional community resources.
