Consigner FAQs



Why should I consign my items?

You can make more money at this consignment sale than at a garage sale or other consignment shop. It takes less time than individually listing items online. You also do not have to deal with ‘hagglers.’ After you drop off your items, you do not have to show up at the sale, unless you want to shop of course!

What items can I consign? 
DVD's, books, Halloween costumes and maternity clothing. We do NOT accept used car seats or any other recalled/unsafe items. The Coalition reserves the right to not sell any item.


Is there a minimum amount of items I can consign?

Yes. There is a 10-item minimum or $25 worth of items.

Is there a fee to be a consignor?
Yes. $10 will automatically be deducted from the check you receive after the sale.

How much money do I make off of each sold item?
You keep 50% of the price you list for each sold item. You make 70% of the list price from each sold item if you volunteer 6 hours or more of your time. The remaining proceeds benefit moms and babies in the Florida Keys.


How do I receive the money I made?

Your check is mailed to you about two weeks after the sale ends. Our computer system automatically generates which items were sold and at what price.

pick of items for sale! (Presale cost to non-consignors is $10). The sale is cash only, so please come prepared, Besides making money, are there any other perks to being a consignor?

What is the best way to increase the chances that my items get sold?

First, don't overprice your items--no more than 1/3 the original retail.  Most clothing items should be $5 and under.

Second, select YES for "Allow Discount?" when generating your barcodes. These items will be sold at half price during our ½ price sale time –Sunday.

How can I donate any unsold items?

All unsold items will be donated to local organizations unless you mark the barcode otherwise. 

What if I want to keep my unsold items?
Place a large red X in the Description box on each barcode, and we will hold the item for you to pick-up at the sale end.  Any items not picked up will be immediately are donated to local organizations.


How do I get started?

Click on the link near the bottom of the Tot Swap page and follow the directions to sign up. Once you sign up, you will be assigned a consignor # and will log in as directed. Previous consignors can use login credentials from previous years (with a few exceptions).
