These are the providers that are in Monroe County only. There are other midwives and obstetricians in Miami. Contact Healthy Start Coalition for information about providers and midwives in Miami. YOU ARE ELEGIBLE FOR HEALTHY START PROGRAMS IN MONROE COUNTY ALTHOUGH YOU USE DADE OR BROWARD COUNTY PROVIDERS. NOTIFY YOUR PROVIDER YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MONROE COUNTY HEALTHY START SCREEN ON YOUR FIRST VISIT.

Please check with each practice to see if they accept Medicaid or your insurance. All expectant moms are eligible for the Monroe County Healthy Start Screening – Notify your doctor that you want to participate on your first visit.

Note to expecting moms! C-Section rates in Miami are 50 percent higher than Monroe County C-section rates. Do your homework on choosing a provider carefully to ensure a healthy birth for you and your baby.

Meet the doctors in your area before you give birth and advocate for your baby's best care possible.

Questions to ask your pediatrician:

• Do you support breastfeeding and information about returning to work and feeding my baby?
• Do you offer a formula plan?
• Do you provide parenting and child development information?
• Do you offer resources on setting limits with your child?
• How are you available to me?
