In addition to social support, many women find the need for physical activity during pregnancy and after. In the Keys, there are many places women can go to continue their fitness routine, or some women may choose to find a new way to relieve many of the aches and pains of pregnancy through movement.

We suggest women check with the fitness instructor prior to the class or event and ask if they can join the class as a pregnant woman. Certified fitness instructors will know the impact level of their class and the appropriateness for pregnant women. It is advised that a pregnant woman speak to her doctor or midwife to make certain there is no risk to participating.
